The 2024 Le Ruisseau is one of the most charming and approachable reds in the L’Anglore range, capturing the domaine’s signature combination of purity, energy and drinkability. Produced from Mourvèdre, with some sources indicating the inclusion of Grenache and Syrah depending on the bottling, it is vinified with whole clusters and native yeasts, resulting in a wine of remarkable freshness and transparency.
The nose is immediately expressive, offering aromas of wild raspberry, sour cherry and blueberry, complemented by delicate floral notes of lavender and rose petal. As it opens in the glass, subtle hints of liquorice, dried herbs and crushed stones emerge, adding complexity without sacrificing its vibrant fruit-driven character.
On the palate, Le Ruisseau is light to medium-bodied, with a beautifully juicy core of red and purple berries. The texture is silky and energetic, supported by fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Flavours of pomegranate, cranberry and tart cherry mingle with gentle spice and a touch of savoury earthiness, leading to a refreshing and persistent finish. Despite its effortless drinkability, the wine retains impressive depth and precision.
