DOMAINE FOLLIN-ARBELET
Domaine Follin-Arbelet is a small but highly regarded Burgundy estate based in Aloxe-Corton, right in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Founded and run by Franck Follin-Arbelet, the domaine was created in the early 1990s after he took over family holdings from both his side and his wife’s family. These plots are enviably located in some of the region’s most prestigious appellations, particularly in the Corton hill area.
The estate owns vineyards in Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Vosne-Romanée, with a particularly strong emphasis on Grand Cru Corton (in several lieux-dits such as Les Bressandes and Les Clos du Roi) as well as Corton-Charlemagne. The holdings are relatively small—just a few hectares—but spread across parcels that allow the domaine to offer a well-rounded portfolio of reds and whites.
Follin-Arbelet’s style is often described as classically Burgundian: hand-harvested fruit, gentle extraction, minimal intervention, and élevage in French oak (usually with a restrained proportion of new barrels). Whites, like the Corton-Charlemagne, are known for their mineral precision and ageing capacity, while reds are structured and pure, showing terroir expression without excessive oak influence.
