The 2022 Bindi Block 8 Pinot Noir is one of Australia’s most profound single-vineyard Pinot Noirs, produced from the iconic Block 8 vineyard in the Macedon Ranges by the celebrated Bindi Wines. Planted at exceptionally high density, Block 8 naturally produces tiny yields of intensely concentrated fruit, creating a wine of remarkable depth, structure and longevity. Matured for approximately 15–17 months in French oak, around half of which is new, the 2022 vintage is regarded as one of the finest recent releases, combining exceptional fruit purity with the power and mineral precision that define this extraordinary vineyard.
The nose is intensely aromatic and beautifully layered, revealing aromas of raspberry, red cherry and wild strawberry alongside exotic spices, dried herbs and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with exceptional concentration, a creamy yet vibrant texture and silky, velvety tannins. Layers of red cherry, raspberry and wild berry fruits unfold across the palate, supported by subtle spice, earthy complexity and a finely etched mineral backbone. Despite its impressive depth, the wine remains remarkably energetic, with vibrant natural acidity providing precision and lift. The finish is extraordinarily long and seamless, carrying lingering notes of red fruits, spice, floral perfume and stony minerality. The style is powerful yet graceful, combining the concentration of a great single vineyard with the elegance that has made Bindi one of Australia’s benchmark Pinot Noir producers.
