The Champagne Larmandier-Bernier Latitude Blanc de Blancs NV (Base 2022, Disgorged March 2025) is a beautifully open and textural grower Champagne from one of the Côte des Blancs’ leading biodynamic estates. Produced entirely from Chardonnay grown predominantly on the richer clay-limestone soils of Vertus, the wine reflects Pierre Larmandier’s low-intervention philosophy, combining generous fruit with chalky precision and restrained dosage. The nose reveals lemon curd, ripe pear and yellow apple layered alongside white flowers, brioche and subtle chalky minerality, giving the wine impressive depth and approachability.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with fine mousse, vibrant natural acidity and a supple mineral core. Layers of citrus, orchard fruit and savoury lees complexity are balanced by saline freshness and gentle creamy texture, finishing dry, energetic and beautifully persistent with excellent balance and finesse. The warm 2022 base vintage brings additional generosity while retaining the freshness and mineral tension that define the Larmandier-Bernier style.
