The Champagne Larmandier-Bernier 1er Cru Longitude Blanc de Blancs NV is a benchmark Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs from the Côte des Blancs, Champagne, crafted exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grown in the Premier Cru villages of Vertus, Oger, Avize and Cramant. Around 40% of the blend comes from the estate's perpetual reserve, established in 2004, while fermentation with indigenous yeasts in large oak casks and foudres, extended lees ageing and a very low 2g/L dosage highlight the wine's remarkable purity and chalk-driven character. The nose is vibrant and refined, offering aromas of lemon zest, green apple and white flowers, layered with fresh pastry, hazelnut and striking mineral notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with exceptionally fine bubbles, bright natural acidity and a beautifully textured mouthfeel. Flavours of citrus, crisp orchard fruit and subtle brioche are framed by saline minerality, leading to a long, dry and focused finish. The low dosage and careful winemaking preserve the freshness and precision that define this classic Côte des Blancs Champagne.
Ben's Recommendation: At Wine More Cellars, this is an outstanding choice for customers who enjoy grower Champagne with purity, freshness and mineral precision. Pair it with freshly shucked oysters, scallops, lobster, sashimi or aged Comté. Enjoy now for its vibrant energy, or cellar for the next8–12 years as it develops additional complexity and texture.
