The 2025 Yeringberg Babyberg Red is a vibrant Yarra Valley red blend created from the estate's youngest vineyard plantings, reflecting Yeringberg's ongoing commitment to innovation and site expression. A blend of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, it offers lifted aromas of redcurrant, blackberry and blackcurrant, alongside notes of tobacco, spice and floral perfume. Each component was vinified separately and matured in older oak barrels before blending, allowing the individual varieties to retain their character.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and energetic, with juicy red and black fruit flavours supported by fresh acidity and fine, grainy tannins. Cabernet Franc contributes fragrance and brightness, while Petit Verdot and Shiraz add depth and structure.
