YERINGBERG
Yeringberg is a historic winery and farm located in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1863 by Frédéric Guillaume de Pury, a Swiss immigrant, the estate has remained under the stewardship of the de Pury family for over 160 years. The property spans approximately 500 hectares of diverse terrain, encompassing vineyards, as well as sheep and cattle pastures.
Today, Yeringberg is managed by fourth-generation siblings Sandra and David de Pury. Sandra, who took over winemaking responsibilities in 2000, employs traditional, unhurried methods to craft wines that reflect the estate’s unique terroir. David oversees the vineyards and the broader farming operations, including the management of sheep and cattle, contributing to the property’s sustainable land practices.
The winery is renowned for producing limited quantities of wines celebrated for their elegance, finesse, and longevity. Their portfolio includes varietals such as Chardonnay, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and a distinguished Cabernet blend known simply as “Yeringberg.” These wines are crafted from low-yielding vines, some of the oldest in the Yarra Valley, and are made in tiny quantities to ensure quality.
