The 2025 Swinging Bridge M.A.W Pinot Noir is a vibrant cool-climate Pinot Noir from Orange, NSW, named after founder Mark Andrew Ward. The nose is bright and perfumed, showing fresh cherry, raspberry and strawberry with floral notes, cinnamon and subtle savoury spice. The 2025 received 92 points from Halliday Wine Companion.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied and juicy with lively acidity, bright red berry fruit and fine, silky tannins. The fruit is fully destemmed but kept as whole berries for fermentation, followed by nine months in French oak, with just 17% new oak. This adds gentle spice and texture while keeping the fruit fresh, leading to a supple, savoury and refreshing finish.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Pinot Noir drinkers who enjoy fragrant, energetic Australian reds with juicy fruit and savoury complexity. Shaped for early enjoyment but with enough structure for short-term cellaring, it pairs beautifully with roast duck, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, charcuterie, quail or crispy-skin chicken.
