The 2025 Ox Hardy Upper Tintara Fiano is a vibrant McLaren Vale white wine grown on the historic Upper Tintara Vineyard in Blewitt Springs, a property that has been part of the Hardy family story since 1871. Fiano continues to thrive in the region's warm climate, and this release showcases the variety's trademark freshness, texture and food-friendly appeal. A small portion of the wine was fermented in seasoned oak, adding subtle complexity while preserving its bright fruit character.
On the palate, it is fresh and energetic, with flavours of nashi pear, citrus, green apple and white stone fruit supported by crisp natural acidity and a fine mineral edge. Subtle notes of white flowers, almond and a gentle saline character add complexity, while the textured mid-palate gives the wine extra depth and balance. The finish is long, clean and refreshing, with excellent persistence and varietal definition.
Ben’s Recommendation: At Wine More Cellars, this is a fantastic alternative for customers looking beyond Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. The combination of bright fruit, refreshing acidity and subtle texture makes it a versatile white wine for a wide range of dishes. Best enjoyed young over the next 2–4 years. Pair with grilled prawns, fresh oysters, calamari, creamy pasta, roast chicken or Mediterranean-style vegetable dishes.
