The fruit for this wine comes from rich ironstone soils in Macclesfield. If you know the region, you can probably guess where from. This is a lovely release of The Sulky. It leans into the spiced pear and nashi realms, with plenty of life and vigour. It's got a little more body, more concentration of flavour, plenty of pithy citrus (which I love), lemon zest and a spine of talcy, quartz-like minerals. Gee, this is very good drinking. - 94 points, Katrina Butler
