The 2025 Marc Brédif Vouvray Classic is an expressive Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley, sourced from vineyards planted predominantly on clay and chalk soils. It opens with ripe pear, white peach and pineapple, complemented by citrus zest, delicate florals and a subtle mineral note.
On the palate, it is generous and gently rounded, with succulent orchard and tropical fruit balanced by Chenin Blanc’s naturally vibrant acidity. Nine months of maturation on lees adds texture and volume, while the finish remains lively, citrus-driven and persistent. Although already approachable, it has the freshness and structure to develop attractive honeyed and nutty complexity with age.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent introduction to classic Vouvray—fruit-forward and generous, yet beautifully refreshed by lively acidity. Enjoy now at 10–12°C or cellar through 2035 and beyond. Ideal with seafood, roast chicken, pork, creamy cheeses or mildly spiced Thai and Vietnamese dishes.
