A vibrant natural sparkling Chenin Blanc from Jo Perry’s Dormilona label, sourced from organically farmed Yungarra Vineyard fruit in Yallingup. Naturally fermented and bottled before fermentation finished, the wine captures the fresh, textural and slightly wild energy that defines great pét-nat. The nose shows lemon zest, green apple and white peach alongside brioche, chamomile and subtle yeasty complexity. There’s a bright saline freshness and lightly creamy character from lees ageing and natural malo fermentation.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with soft natural fizz, juicy citrus fruit and refreshing acidity. Fresh, cloudy and highly drinkable, with gentle texture and a dry savoury finish that keeps it energetic and food friendly.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A seriously fun yet beautifully made pét-nat — vibrant, textural and perfect for lovers of natural sparkling wine. More refined and savoury than many rustic pét-nats, while still keeping that playful lo-fi energy. Ideal for oysters, fried food, beach lunches or aperitif drinking. Best served well chilled and enjoyed young.
