The 2025 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Blanc is a pure and precise Sauvignon Blanc produced from biodynamically farmed vineyards on flint, limestone and marl soils. It opens with aromas of lemon, grapefruit and green apple, followed by white peach, passionfruit, elderflower, fresh herbs and a distinctive struck-flint minerality.
On the palate, it is fresh, fleshy and beautifully focused, with vibrant citrus fruit, energetic acidity and a finely textured mineral core. Hand harvesting, indigenous-yeast fermentation and maturation in tank preserve its clarity and terroir expression. The finish is long, dry and saline, with lingering grapefruit and smoky stone notes.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for those seeking serious, terroir-driven Sancerre with greater depth and mineral definition than a simple Sauvignon Blanc. Serve at 10–12°C and enjoy now or cellar through 2033. Ideal with oysters, shellfish, sushi, grilled white fish, asparagus, citrus-dressed salads or Crottin de Chavignol.
