2024 Stonier Hillcrest Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Hillcrest Vineyard in Merricks, one of the most distinctive cool-climate sites on the Mornington Peninsula. Planted in 1989 on elevated slopes overlooking Western Port Bay, the vineyard consistently produces Chardonnay with remarkable purity, mineral tension and elegant structure.
The 2024 vintage opens with lifted aromas of lemon zest, white peach and nectarine, layered with notes of grapefruit, subtle flint and gentle oak spice. The palate is finely textured and precise, revealing citrus and stone-fruit flavours supported by creamy lees complexity and bright acidity. A subtle saline minerality carries through the long, refined finish.
