The 2024 Novum Riverbrook Vineyard Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from Marlborough's historic Riverbrook Vineyard, planted on ancient greywacke riverbed soils in the Wairau Valley. Crafted in a restrained, Burgundian-inspired style, the wine highlights the vineyard's mineral character with aromas of white peach, pear and citrus, complemented by hints of flint, oyster shell, toasted hazelnut and subtle brioche.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a refined, silky texture and vibrant natural acidity. Flavours of lemon curd, grapefruit, white peach and crisp orchard fruit are balanced by gentle oak and a pronounced mineral backbone, leading to a long, focused finish with impressive freshness and precision.
