The 2024 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Half Bottle (375ml) is a beautifully concentrated Mosel Riesling from the estate’s celebrated Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard. Produced with virtually no botrytis influence, it shows ripe peach, white peach, lemon rind and blackcurrant, lifted by orange zest, bergamot and floral notes against the vineyard’s distinctive slate minerality.
On the palate, it is sweet and concentrated yet remarkably racy, with vibrant citrus acidity and pronounced salty, crushed-slate minerality providing freshness and precision. At just 7.5% alcohol, it remains light and elegant despite its depth. The 2024 received 97 points from Vinous and 96 points from both Wine Advocate and James Suckling.

At Wine More Cellars, this 375ml half-bottle is an excellent choice for Riesling lovers and collectors seeking a classic Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese in a convenient format. Delicious now but best from around 2027, with excellent ageing potential through 2065–2070. Ideal with spicy Asian dishes, pork belly, pâté, blue cheese or lightly sweet fruit desserts.
