The 2024 Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Pinot Noir is a powerful and beautifully structured single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Gruyere in the Yarra Valley, sourced from Giant Steps’ historic home vineyard planted in 1997. The Sexton Vineyard sits on the exposed north-facing slopes of the Warramate Ranges at approximately 130–210 metres elevation, with grey clay loam over granite and ironstone. The combination of sunlight exposure, naturally low yields and relatively thin soils produces small, intensely flavoured berries, giving Sexton a darker, more muscular personality than the higher-altitude Upper Yarra sites such as Applejack and Primavera. The 2024 vintage was a classic Yarra season, combining excellent flavour development with bright natural acidity and balance.
