The 2024 Frédéric & Daniel Brunier Le Pigeoulet des Brunier is a vibrant Southern Rhône red from IGP Vaucluse, crafted by the Brunier family of the renowned Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe. A Grenache-led blend with Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault and Mourvèdre, it draws fruit from vineyards near Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the cooler slopes of Mont Ventoux, combining ripe fruit with freshness and regional character. Aromas of black cherry, raspberry and plum are complemented by notes of black olive, dried herbs and classic Provençal garrigue.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with soft, supple tannins and lively acidity. Juicy red and dark berry flavours are layered with subtle spice, earthy notes and a gentle mineral edge, leading to a smooth, savoury finish that is both balanced and highly approachable. Maturation in a combination of cement tanks and large oak foudres preserves the purity of the fruit while adding texture.
