The 2024 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Bourgogne Rouge is 100% Pinot Noir from Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, offering an introduction to the wines of this celebrated Vosne-Romanée estate. Now led by Sébastien Cathiard, the domaine is admired for its expressive fruit, polished textures and precision across the range. This cuvée draws on an original 0.272-hectare parcel planted in 1987 in Flagey-Echézeaux, supplemented by fruit from Croix Blanche between Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The grapes were fully destemmed, following the estate’s established approach, with barrel maturation adding structure and a gently toasted dimension to the fruit.
