The 2024 Domaine Sylvain Cathiard Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge is a refined Pinot Noir sourced from plots around Villers-la-Faye, high on the plateau above the Côte de Nuits. Its deeper, clay-rich soils give the wine generous aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, accompanied by violet, black pepper, earth and subtle tobacco notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied, concentrated and more structured than its regional classification might suggest. Crunchy red and dark berry fruit is framed by fine, granular tannins, fresh acidity and a distinct mineral line. An earthy, savoury core gives the wine authenticity, while Cathiard’s signature polish carries through the focused and persistent finish.
