The 2023 Domaine Weinbach Altenbourg Riesling is a dry, biodynamically grown Riesling from Alsace, sourced from the Altenbourg vineyard just below Grand Cru Furstentum. Limestone and clay-rich soils give the wine a distinctive chalky character, while the nose shows ripe apricot, peach and citrus with delicate floral and subtle smoky notes.
On the palate, it is dry and finely textured with vibrant acidity, ripe stone fruit and citrus flavours. A firm mineral backbone brings freshness and definition, leading to a long, savoury and lightly saline finish.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Riesling drinkers who enjoy dry Alsace whites with depth, bright acidity and pronounced minerality. Delicious now with food, but also well suited to careful cellaring. Ideal with grilled fish, prawns, roast chicken, seafood dishes or lightly spiced Asian cuisine.
