The 2023 Silkman Reserve Chardonnay is a premium Hunter Valley Chardonnay from New South Wales, produced only in vintages when select parcels show the depth and structure required for Silkman’s Reserve range. The nose is lifted and precise, with grapefruit, white peach and citrus alongside subtle oak spice and savoury complexity.
On the palate, it is finely textured and energetic, combining citrus and stone fruit with vibrant acidity, subtle oak and a long, mouth-watering finish. The fruit is hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed before wild fermentation in fine-grained French oak, with lees contact contributing additional texture and depth.
