The 2023 Joh. Jos. Prüm Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Half Bottle (375ml) is a rare, intensely concentrated Mosel Riesling from one of Germany’s benchmark estates. Produced in tiny quantities from carefully selected, partly botrytis-affected fruit, it delivers layers of mango, peach, papaya and citrus, with delicate spice and classic Mosel mineral character.
Despite its Auslese sweetness and richness, the palate remains remarkably precise and fresh. Concentrated tropical and stone fruit is balanced by vibrant acidity, a savoury-saline edge and a long, energetic finish. The wine received 97 points from Vinous, 97 points from James Suckling and 97+ from Robert Parker.
