The 2023 Alkoomi Family Collection Cabernet Sauvignon is an estate-grown red from Frankland River in Western Australia’s Great Southern region. The nose shows mulberry and dark berry fruit with distinctive cardamom, liquorice and seasoned hardwood notes, reflecting the slow ripening conditions of the 2023 vintage.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with concentrated mulberry fruit, fine tannins and savoury notes of coffee, spice and oak. Selected parcels were harvested in the early morning and matured for 14 months in new French oak, adding depth and structure while maintaining the wine’s cool-climate Cabernet character.
