The 2022 S.C. Pannell Aglianico is a distinctive McLaren Vale red sourced from the Olivers Road vineyard. Inspired by one of southern Italy’s great red varieties, it shows black cherry, blackberry and prune with black pepper, graphite, dark cocoa and savoury notes of leather and dried herbs.
On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied with concentrated dark fruit, fresh acidity and Aglianico’s naturally firm tannin structure. The tannins are polished and integrated, giving the wine depth and texture, while dark fruit, cocoa and savoury mineral notes carry through the persistent finish.
