Bright ruby-purple in colour, this finely structured Pinot Noir opens with aromas of raspberry, red cherry, plum and sweet woodland berries, accompanied by briar, subtle earth and darker Pinot fruit. Initially restrained, the bouquet becomes increasingly expressive with air.
The palate is medium to full-bodied and lively, offering concentrated raspberry, cherry and plum around a sweet, succulent core of fruit. Crisp, slightly crunchy tannins and fresh acidity provide energy and definition, leading to a persistent, youthfully firm finish with earthy detail and a lightly chalky mineral texture. A serious and unusually complete Bourgogne Rouge, it combines the generosity of the 2022 vintage with d’Angerville’s characteristic precision and tension. Enjoy now after aeration or cellar through approximately 2030–2035.
