The 2022 Cellier Saint Benoît Arbois Pupillin La Marcette Chardonnay is a striking Jura Chardonnay from rising star Benjamin Benoît, sourced from old vines planted on Triassic marl soils in Pupillin, one of the region’s most prized terroirs. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in older oak barrels, it combines richness and concentration with remarkable freshness and mineral precision. Critics have praised the wine’s depth and ageing potential, with Vinous awarding 93 points.
The nose shows white peach, blossom, green apple and preserved citrus, while the palate is textured and powerful with layers of orchard fruit, quince, chamomile and saline minerality.
