The 2021 Domaine des Perdrix Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Perdrix is an exceptional Pinot Noir from one of the finest Premier Cru vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Produced by Domaine des Perdrix, which owns almost the entire Aux Perdrix vineyard, this near-monopole site is planted with mature vines on limestone and clay soils, producing wines of depth, structure and remarkable finesse. The nose opens with aromas of ripe cherry, wild raspberry and violet, complemented by subtle spice and earthy mineral notes.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and beautifully layered flavours of red berries, forest floor and gentle spice. The wine is finely balanced, with impressive concentration and a long, mineral-driven finish that reflects the character of this outstanding Premier Cru terroir.
Ben's Recommendation: At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for collectors and lovers of classic Burgundy Pinot Noir. Enjoy with roast duck, beef Wellington, mushroom risotto or herb-crusted lamb. While approachable with careful decanting, it will continue to develop beautifully through 2028–2045.
