The result is a vibrant, characterful red that balances richness with freshness and aromatic lift.
The nose reveals black cherry, dark plum and wild berries alongside notes of leather, cracked black pepper, cloves and lifted spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, offering layers of dark fruit, mint, dark chocolate and exotic spice, supported by soft, velvety tannins and lively acidity. Savoury, complex and beautifully balanced, it finishes with impressive freshness and lingering spice.

A wonderfully individual red that showcases the depth and personality of Gisborne’s biodynamic vineyards. Rich enough for slow-cooked lamb, beef short ribs and hearty pasta dishes, yet fresh enough to enjoy with wood-fired pizza or a gourmet barbecue. Drinking beautifully now, but will continue to develop additional savoury complexity through 2029.
