The 2018 Domaine Naturaliste Rebus Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant Margaret River red from Wilyabrup, produced from 94% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Merlot and 3% Malbec. It offers fragrant aromas of cassis, blueberry and glazed cherry, layered with violet, cedar, graphite, dried bay leaf and subtle cigar-box notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied, polished and intensely flavoured, with redcurrant, blackberry and plum supported by savoury notes of cacao, liquorice, black olive and slate. Fine-grained tannins and dusty gravel minerality create a firm but refined structure, while well-integrated French oak contributes depth without obscuring the fruit. The finish is long, precise and distinctly mineral.

At Wine More Cellars, this is an outstanding example of modern Margaret River Cabernet, combining regional power with elegance and restraint. It is drinking beautifully now after one hour of decanting and should continue developing through approximately 2035. Ideal with roast beef, grilled lamb, venison, braised short ribs, mushroom dishes or mature cheddar.
