The 2018 Château Lafon-Rochet is a distinguished Fourth Growth (4ème Grand Cru Classé) from Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, made from 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. The nose is expressive with blackcurrant, strawberry and raspberry, complemented by dark cherry, subtle florals, herbs and savoury spice.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with concentrated fruit, freshness and fine, structured tannins. Matured for at least 12 months in barrel, it combines ripe berry fruit with savoury complexity and a touch of cinnamon, leading to a smooth, balanced and persistent finish.
