2017 William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Montmains is a taut, mineral Chardonnay with notes of green apple, lemon zest, white flowers and saline oyster-shell character. The palate is lively and structured: racy acidity, crushed chalk/stone, subtle pear fruit, and a long, dry, gently creamy finish. With bottle age, expect more honeyed citrus, hazelnut and savoury notes while retaining its fresh Chablis line.
