In the Dogliani area this traditiol wine reaches its maximal typicity, of a ruby red color, which tends toward violet with a rich fruity bouquet, full bodied with an intense aroma of undergrowth and a pleasantly tannic taste, with a slight fil almond note, typical of this wine. Eight months of maturation in steel tanks and two months in glass complete the refinement. Of a dry and moderately acidic taste, after a year of ageing, it has a good body and full taste.
The 2018 Dogliani is perfumed, deep and super-expressive. Like so many Doglianis in this vintage, the Eiudi is less bombastic than is often the case, and that is not a bad thing. Sweet floral, sage and spice notes complement a core of red and black berry fruit in a mid-weight yet deep Dogliani loaded with character. - Vinous
