The 2024 Clos Larrouyat Jurançon Sec Météore is a beautifully vibrant and mineral-driven dry white from one of Jurançon’s most exciting young biodynamic estates in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Produced from a blend centred on Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng grown on steep clay and limestone slopes, the wine captures the region’s distinctive combination of aromatic intensity, saline freshness and mountain-influenced tension. The nose reveals preserved lemon, grapefruit and white peach layered alongside fresh herbs, white flowers and subtle smoky mineral notes, giving the wine impressive lift and precision.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with vibrant natural acidity, fine textural depth and a tightly focused mineral core. Layers of citrus peel, orchard fruit and gentle savoury complexity are balanced by saline freshness and chalky tension, finishing dry, energetic and beautifully persistent with excellent clarity and detail. The cool mountain climate preserves freshness and aromatic definition while the low-intervention winemaking approach allows the vineyard character to remain at the forefront.
