2018 Armand Heitz Saint Aubin 1er Cru Murgers Des Dents De Chien Monopole Rouge

This cuvée is a good example of the rarities available in Burgundy. It is a monopoly because the owner of this vine is the only one to have planted pinot noir on this appellation which is very famous for its whites. Located on the top of Montrachet, the soil is quite poor in clay. As often on this type of soil, Pinot Noir produces a very fine, elegant wine with relatively little color.
