The Fallen Giants Serra Range Shiraz 2022 is a cool‑climate red from the Grampians region, showing intense red and black cherry and berry fruit layers with floral hints and pepper spice. The palate is medium‑full with fine grain tannins, balanced acidity, and subtle oak integration, delivering complexity and a long, savoury finish. It’s approachable now yet has the structure to cellared for a few years. Campell Mattinson of Halliday Wine Companion praised its savoury, layered profile and overall depth.
The Shiraz was harvested in April post Easter and fermented in open static fermenters, plunged by hand twice a day for lovely colour and tannin extraction. Some whole bunch provides lifted aromatics and spice.
