Crafted with a meticulous, minimal intervention approach, including around 60% whole-bunch fermentation and extended maturation in large-format Stockinger oak, it emphasizes finesse, aromatic lift and structural precision over weight. The nose is intensely lifted and floral, revealing violet, lavender and rose aromatics layered with blackberry, blood plum and crushed rock minerality. There is a distinctive spicy and exotic edge from whole-bunch fermentation, alongside subtle herbal and savoury notes that add depth and intrigue.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine, structured tannins and bright natural acidity that gives the wine energy and clarity. The fruit profile balances red and dark berries with spice, mineral tension and a lightly savoury character. At Wine More Cellars, this is one of the most elegant and perfumed Syrah expressions coming out of Australia today. Compared to richer, heavier Shiraz styles, it leans strongly toward a Northern Rhône profile — lifted, spice-driven and mineral. The 2023 vintage, in particular, is one of the prettiest and most balanced releases, making it approachable earlier while still offering excellent ageing potential. Enjoy now with decanting or cellar through 2038+ as it develops further complexity. Exceptional with lamb, duck, game meats or earthy, savoury dishes.
