The 2021 Neldner Road Herrmann Kalimna Shiraz is a structured Barossa Valley red showing blackberry, black plum and dark cherry with cracked pepper, liquorice and subtle savoury spice.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with balanced acidity, firm tannins and layers of dark fruit, pepper and gentle earthy notes. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with excellent potential for further bottle development.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Shiraz drinkers who enjoy rich Barossa fruit balanced by firm structure and savoury depth. Best enjoyed from 2027–2038. Pair with slow-braised beef short ribs, rosemary lamb shoulder, pepper-crusted venison or smoky eggplant with tahini.
