The 2021 Neldner Road Chatterton's Shiraz is a structured Barossa Valley red showing blackberry, black plum and dark cherry with cracked pepper, liquorice and subtle savoury spice.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with balanced acidity, firm tannins and layers of dark fruit, pepper and gentle earthy notes. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with the structure to develop further in bottle.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Shiraz drinkers who enjoy rich Barossa fruit with firm structure and savoury depth. Best enjoyed over the next 6–10 years. Pair with slow-braised beef short ribs, rosemary lamb shoulder, pepper-crusted venison or roasted eggplant with smoked paprika.
