The 2025 The Florita is Jim Barry's top Riesling, picked by hand from selected rows of the Florita vineyard at Watervale, where John Vickery grew the Leo Buring Rieslings of the 1960s and 70s. The Barry family bought the vineyard in 1986 and first released The Florita under that name in 2004.
The nose is pure Clare in spring: lime juice, citrus blossom and white flowers, crisp green apple and a chalky, slate-like edge. The palate is dry and taut on fine, linear acidity, with concentrated lime, grapefruit pith and apple running into a long, saline, mineral finish. 12.5% alcohol.

Drink now to 2038 and beyond. Bright and energetic young, it builds honeyed, lanolin depth over a decade in bottle. Serve at 8–10°C with oysters, sashimi or a Thai salad.
