Delamere Vineyards

Delamere Vineyards is one of Tasmania’s most respected cool-climate wine producers, located in the renowned Pipers River region in northern Tasmania. Established in the early 1980s and now run by winemaker Shane Holloway, Delamere has built a strong reputation for crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines, particularly premium Tasmanian sparkling wines, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

The estate’s vineyards benefit from the cool maritime climate and ancient volcanic soils of Pipers River, conditions that allow grapes to ripen slowly while retaining vibrant natural acidity. This environment is ideal for producing refined sparkling wines made in the traditional method, as well as precise cool-climate table wines with freshness and structure.

Delamere follows a hands-on, minimal-intervention philosophy in both the vineyard and winery. Many vineyard practices are organic-leaning, and fruit is hand-picked to ensure the highest quality. The resulting wines are known for their purity, fine texture, and distinctive Tasmanian character.

Today, Delamere Vineyards is widely regarded as one of the benchmark producers of Tasmanian sparkling wine, with a portfolio that also showcases expressive single-site Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the pristine Pipers River region.
