Dark red core with black toned edges and a red to dark red hue. Intense dark to black cherry and ripe strawberry aromas fill the nostrils followed by whiffs of liquorice, earth, dried herb and spice notes. Layered across the well fleshed palate are rich dark to black cherry and strawberry fruits with some ripe plum, anise, earth, a dash of sour cherry and spice characters sitting beneath. Ample in the mouth and supple in it’s flow it has slightly dusty, fine grained tannins and an underlying freshness threaded through the long generous finish.
