At Wine More Cellars, Loire Valley Chenin Blanc is a fantastic option for customers looking for fresh, mineral-driven French whites with real character. The 2021 Les Petites Roches is vibrant, elegant and very food-friendly — perfect with oysters, scallops, grilled fish, goat cheese or light poultry dishes. It’s a great introduction to the white wines of Chinon and a refreshing alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.
From a smaller vineyard of chenin with cabernet franc seemingly the mainstay of this organic certified producer. Half in barrel, half in stainless for its pre-bottle maturing. Saline, lemony, fresh feeling. Delicious, pure and clean style, light on its feet. Licks of leafy herbs, some chalky mineral characters, a little pucker to finish, cool and refreshing throughout.
