QUARTZ REEF

Quartz Reef is a premium boutique winery based in Central Otago, New Zealand, one of the world’s most celebrated cool-climate wine regions. Founded by winemaker Rudi Bauer, the estate is internationally recognised for producing organic and biodynamic wines with a strong focus on purity, balance and terroir expression.

Located in the Bendigo sub-region, Quartz Reef benefits from high-altitude vineyards and unique quartz-rich soils, which contribute to the wines’ structure, minerality and complexity. The winery specialises in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wines, all crafted with precision and minimal intervention.

Quartz Reef Pinot Noir is known for its dark cherry, plum and spice character, supported by fine tannins and freshness, while the sparkling wines offer fine bubbles, citrus and brioche notes, reflecting extended lees ageing and traditional methods.
