Springbank 5 Year Old 100° Proof is a lively, full-strength Campbeltown malt, bottled at 57.1% ABV after 100% bourbon-cask maturation. The nose is bright and mineral, with green apple, gorse and wine-gum sweetness. The palate brings gentle peat smoke, icing sugar, white chocolate, tomato leaf, sunflower seed and linseed oil, finishing with honey and gooseberry.
It is young, energetic and concentrated - best enjoyed neat, then with a few drops of water to soften the heat and open the fruit and coastal notes.
