Poli Distillerie Marconi 42 Mediteranean Gin

Unsurprisingly, the nose is quite aromatic. However, what is surprising is that it is not as juniper-forward as expected. It is quite sharp and medicinal at first, but eventually finds it way into herbal territory, with coriander, a hint of juniper elderflower, and muted juniper. A palate of mixed garden herbs, basil, and sage dominate the beginning of the palate, but then the mint takeover begins. The finish is long and immensely enjoyable, with the minty menthol sensation leading the charge before cardamom and rosemary provide muted relief near the end. Incredibly savory and immensely herbal.
