The 2024 Vasse Felix DHH1 Single Plot Chardonnay is an exceptional, site-specific Chardonnay from a tiny, cool pocket of the Wallcliffe vineyard in Margaret River, Western Australia. Previously associated with the DHJ1 designation, the 2024 release comes from the DHH1 plot, planted to the heritage Gingin Chardonnay clone on Red Chromosol (Karri Loam) soils enriched with alluvial laterite. Small bunches and tiny berries give the wine remarkable intensity and finesse, with aromas of lemon pith, grapefruit and white nectarine layered with ginger, wet stone and subtle savoury complexity.
