Grown on the family’s 4.5-hectare Small Wonder Vineyard, this vintage reflects a slightly riper season, with clone D4V2 showing generous fruit and lifted savoury detail. It remains unfined and minimally handled throughout.
The palate is silky and fleshy, with dark raspberry and cherry layered over earthy spice and a gentle gamey complexity from barrel ageing. There’s a sense of poise and texture that speaks to both the site and the maker’s restrained hand. While elegant and expressive now, its structure suggests a graceful evolution over time.
