The 2024 Edoardo Dottori 'Terre Salate' Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC is a vibrant, organically grown 100% Verdicchio from a single vineyard in San Paolo di Jesi, one of Marche's finest sites for the variety. Named Terre Salate ("salty soils"), the wine reflects its calcareous clay soils and the cooling influence of both the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains. Naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged on fine lees for six months, it opens with bright aromas of lemon zest, green apple and white peach, complemented by white blossom and distinctive saline minerality.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a silky texture and impressive freshness. Flavours of citrus, orchard fruit and subtle herbal notes are carried by a chalky mineral backbone, finishing long, dry and savoury with the hallmark almond note of great Verdicchio. Elegant and effortlessly drinkable, it is a superb expression of this classic Marche appellation.
