The 2023 Hubert Lignier Gevrey-Chambertin Regnard is a beautifully structured Pinot Noir from a superb vineyard site in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin. The nose reveals black cherry, wild raspberry and redcurrant alongside notes of violet, sweet spice and subtle forest floor. The palate is refined yet powerful, with vibrant red and dark berry fruit supported by fine tannins and bright acidity. Hints of crushed stone, graphite and earthy savoury nuances add complexity, while the finish is long, structured and beautifully balanced. A superb village Burgundy that offers both immediate appeal and excellent cellaring potential. Elegant, complex and highly food-friendly, it pairs beautifully with duck, roast lamb, beef fillet and mushroom dishes. Enjoy with a short decant if drinking now, or cellar through 2040 and beyond as it develops greater savoury depth, truffle notes and classic Burgundian complexity.
